I am going to subscribe to either Hitwise or Comscore in the next couple of weeks. For many years I used Media Metrix, Nielsen Netratings and then Comscore. I liked all of them, but in the end I used Comscore most because its data covered the top 10,000 sites each month.
Hitwise covers 500,000 sites in 160 industries. I\’ve never used it before, but I\’m tempted to use it.
Has anyone out there used both Comscore and Hitwise? If so, can I talk with you and ask you about the relative strengths and weaknesses?

Hello Paul,
On a side note, also worth evaluating an alternative CI solution:

Happy to provide a demo.

We use hitwise and have been happy with it. I reviewed both hitwise and comscore about a year ago and found hitwise to have a broader feature set that we would use and a better value.
I have used comscore for a couple of years but recently moved to a start-up and the pricetag for comscore isn’t feasible. I received a demo for HitWise and it seems much more useful to a company like ours. Can anyone share pricing they’ve negotiated?
Hitwise handed a quote over for 50k, covering all 160 categories, and 35k for covering just our industry cats. Demo was very impressive.
I’m tempted but not sure if I will use enough to get the value. worth a shot.
You might also want to look at Syntryx.com for an affordable and yet more comprehensive online marketing intelligence option, especially for affiliate networks and SEO purposes. Oh, and you might also want to know that Syntryx reports will include contact details and what site/network each prospect is already working with. I don’t think any other supplier in this field provides that type of rich info on 800,000 international network publishers.
We’ll be glad to provide a demo of course.
